Frequently Asked Question

Currently there is NOT an option to install Office 365 on ChromeOS (Chromebook device), however you can access the online version of Office 365 with your UTF credentials at this link:  https://m365.cloud.microsoft/apps

Below are the instructions for installing Office 365, including Word on your Apple** or MS Windows computer:

1. Visit the link https://office.com.

2. Login with your UTF email address and password.

3. On the top left choose the tri-dot menu > Download apps > Download the desktop app (see image below)

4. From this point perform the installation as you would any other program.

Keep in mind this download is relatively large, so it will take a while. I recommend performing this download when you know you will not need to perform other internet related tasks for an extended time. Maybe set the download and then play a round of frisbee golf.

** If you are attempting to install Office 365 on an iPad, we suggest trying to install it from the app store, and then when you first sign into the software, make sure to use your @utf.edu credentials.
